SH2-26 (Sharpless 26 ) This large nebula complex is not far from Sh2-30, also known as the Trifid Nebula. The nebula works best using the hydrogen-alpha filter but with enough exposure for color, there is a lot of rich color in in the nebula although it is mostly red.
