SH2-227 (Sharpless 227 )

This small nebula is somewhat faint so it requires a long exposure to pick up enough to produce a nice smooth image. The nebula does not do very well with the red wide band filter so a hydrogen-alpha filter is the best to use. The nebula does well with this filter but still needs a long exposure. You will also still need to expose the RGB color channels to get enough to make a nice HA-RGB image. Not sure if a larger telescope has any advantage but there appears to be nebula around this object that a fast optical system with a wide field of view can pick up.
