SH2-188 (Sharpless 188 )

This Sharpless object is a very nice planetary nebula for most imaging systems because there is great detail and structure in this object. The nebula is somewhat weak in the standard RGB color filters, but a long enough exposure should create a nice image although it is mainly red. The planetary also responds very well to narrowband filters sulfur II, hydrogen-alpha, and oxygen III for a great narrowband image.
